Seven-year-old Atti is a normal boy in the 1950s, easily excitable and fascinated by comic books. His mother has dutifully prepared him to receive his First Holy Communion, hoping that he will be able to focus more intently on the Mass.

What happens next is most unexpected, as Atti encounters his Guardian Angel, who opens up a whole new world to him.
