Bundle Set Advent Wreath, Candles and Advent Calendar

The Advent wreath has been used since the Middle Ages to prepare for Christmas. The light from the candles symbolizes the Light of Christ that comes to "dispel the darkness in the world." Each week another candle is lit, counting down the four weeks of Advent. 

The evergreens represent eternal life, the pink and purple candles coincide with the weekly liturgical colors.  Pinecones or seeds represent resurrection and life. The circular wreath reminds us of the eternity of God and the immortality of our soul. A important part of the spiritual preparation for Christmas, every home should have one! 

Advent begins the Sunday nearest November 30th and continues until December 24th. The Advent calendar, which originated in 19th Century Europe, has 24 numbered flaps concealing a biblical scene and verse about the coming of the Messiah.
