Advent Wreath 12" with Purple Ribbons

The Advent wreath has been used since the Middle Ages to prepare for Christmas. The light from the candles symbolizes the Light of Christ that comes to "dispel the darkness in the world." Each week another candle is lit, counting down the four weeks of Advent. 

The evergreens represent eternal life, the pink and purple candles coincide with the weekly liturgical colors.  Pinecones or seeds represent resurrection and life.
